Very sketchy. They're making me contact the bank for an authorisation code to ship my order. It's literally the first time I was ever asked for this. Mind you, I even purchased stuff from a different freaking continent than where my bank is and I never had any issues. Isn't it ordering online supposed to be convenient? Because being on hold with my bank for an hour is not worth it. Time is money! The customer service lady was rude for no reason and not helpful at all. They held my funds for two weeks for no reason at all. Avoid them!
Edit: The rep was Alexis on chat. I won't contact you because it doesn't matter anymore. I don't think you're going to do anything about it. I ordered from iHerb instead, they took my PayPal (why don't you accept PayPal BTW if you wanna talk about transaction safety ???) and gave me a better deal than you guys are offering and plus free shipping. You guys wasted enough of my time.
Use Swansonvitamins at your own risk. I placed an order from their ebay store and they canceled my order the next day. I called them up and they said my paypal or credit card was no good which was a shock to me since I have a high credit rating. They wanted another card or paypal account. What scammers!! I went through the paypal resolution process and they never responded. Don't waste you time getting ripped off by this company go somewhere else.

I did talk to customer service, talked to jennifer she was the one that wanted another credit card or paypal account. My credit card company found swansonvitamins in the wrong and my cc company got my money back. Look at all the negative reviews go on ebay and look at all the negative reviews. Lies on top of lies wont fix swansonvitamins find someone that knows how to run a company. I will never use your company again and will suggest to others not to use them either.

As one who has numerous internet accounts, and am very much aware of what and how a functional website operates, I find myself becoming very agitated when I attempt a very simple checkout at Swanson! All my payment information, mailing address, etc., is on file there, so, when my order is completed it should be a very routine and simple matter of choosing my payment option and my address and the order is complete!
Time after time I have found myself spending 15 to 20 minutes just on the checkout alone! Instead of completing the checkout the webpage suddenly reverts to a CBD ad and I find all my checkout information has been deleted, and if I want to complete my order I have to start my payment information all over.
My conclusion: A few lower prices on a few substandard supplements is not worth the frustration and hassle!
So, it's adios, farewell and gluckliche Reise Swanson; when you see fit to really do customer service by hiring a computer programer who is qualified and is not a recent graduate of Sandbox, I might consider returning!
This vendor has gone downhill since Lee Swanson sold the company. The products are still largely pretty good (although I recently bought magnesium citrate from them that was not fully activated, rendering it an ineffective mix of mag oxide and citric acid).
The more frustrating issue is the pricing system. I typically buy a couple of bottles of 400mg CoQ10 every month, typically 8.99 or 9.99 before discounts. This month, it's $15.79. That's a big jump overnight and it is not the only hike!
The coupon codes which used to work superbly are erratic. You enter a code that promises 20% off your whole order -- no asterisk citing any exempt products. But then you check out and you see that Swanson has credited you with a different code that offers a lesser discount.
Similarly, I'd placed a large-ish order, over $200 bucks, and received a letter in the mail with a "Thank You" code for my next order but when I went to use it I got an error message stating it had expired. Note that there was no expiration date on the offer.
It's irksome because Swanson was by far my favorite supplement vendor, not just for the prices but the stellar customer service and the selection, which isn't as good as it once was.
Swanson's used to actively look for promising supplements that had shown efficacy in clinical trials and bring them to market fast, at a great price.
I haven't been interested in their new selections lately. Even when they do come up with a promising new formula, they offer it in a size and dosage that is way below the quantity that showed results in studies, so why bother.
I still think that compared to the abysmal customer service offered by most vendors nowadays the staff at Swanson's try to do a good job.
Unfortunately, they are no longer experts, in terms of being able to provide information on their own products.
Conduct your own due diligence before you make your purchases because they no longer come through with the guidance they used to provide.
PS: Their website is pretty buggy now. Too many "Free" offers -- bogus attempts to hook you up with third party shipping services, etc., or mine your data. Don't bother using their so-called "live chat" as it is a wholly useless bot.
I have been a Swanson Vitamins customer for about seven years, and I'm highly satisfied. Great products, great prices, and great service. Not only can I buy Swanson Vitamins at their website, but I can buy other brand name Vitamins at about half the price that I can find them in stores.
I had low vitamin D levels in spite of taking calcium and vitamin D supplements until I tried their D3 with coconut oil. The very next blood test I had optimum levels and they have remain there since.
I have food allergies and with only one kidney I have restrictions on what I can take. Their customer service department searched for supplements that fit my very specific criteria, including organic ginger. Very friendly, very helpful. Highly recommend.
I read a lot of bad reviews about this company and was hesitant to order, but their prices were so great, I decided to give it a shot. The order went through seamlessly with the additional site coupon, aside from an extra shipping charge I didn't notice at check out despite the coupon saying free shipping over $50. Some reviews had stated they were charged incorrectly, so I called customer service to cancel my order, got through right away, and they quickly refunded the shipping plus gave me an additional $5 off. The box arrived within a few days with all items well packed and in great condition. Terrific value, as some items were 40% below Amazon and other website prices! I would recommend to try this company as I'm glad the negative reviews were not accurate, at least not in my case!
Swanson says on the website 2-5 business days. That is AFTER it ships. They take 10-15 business days to SHIP the product.
I have ordered from Swanson for 30 years and found they have excellent products, prices, service.
I have been able to try many different products, because of the price, that would not have been possible without their reasonable pricing. It has really helped me with different health issues that I have been able to overcome.

While Swanson is some of the highest quality products on the market, for the past couple of years they have been sending out items that are about to expire. Supplements I'm supposed to be taking over the next six months to a year expire in a month or in a few weeks. Very poor business practice.
I have been shopping with Swansonvitamins.com for many years. I cannot believe all the negative reviews here! Wow! I am a little suspicious that a competitor is trying to hurt them...I have noticed that many one-star reviewers have only one review at Trustpilot.
Swanson is top of the line for quality, price and service.
They had what I needed at a good price, so took a chance even with the many negative reviews. The shipping is SLOW! It took 2 weeks, that's my only peeve. I got my stuff & it was packaged well, so if you're not in any hurry to get your order... Then no worries. They're tracking system seems a bit clunky but they also provide USPS tracking# .
This company is a joke. I never received my order so I asked for a refund. This was Nov 2020, we are now in May and nothing has been refunded yet. Customer service is a joke and they are coming up everytime with silly excuses. It's really frustrating. Don't buy from them!!
Well Swanson Vitamins done it again with their fake sales and poor working web site. I did an order with 35%off of the swanson products. Got 35 off some product and not so much on others but was going to order anyway because am getting low. Put all information in but site wouldn't finalize my order. Tried a couple of time didn't work so was going to try next morning and all discounts were removed.
I placed an order on 4-27-21, my credit card was charged on 4-28-21 and now your website reflects no "recent orders". Your initial email after my order was placed, indicated you would email me when my order was ready...that hasn't happened either.
I've emailed customer service and am waiting a response...
Update - Order just received which is great but with no customer service updates either via email or their website then I am left to wonder what is going on?
